Saranda is the pearl of the Albanian coastline, a small beautiful town in southern Albania, situated in a gorgeous bay in the shape of a horseshoe.

The city has an amazing location, situated between the mountains and the Ionian Sea, across the road from the northeastern part of the island of Corfu, only 26 kilometers away from the border with Greece.

In ancient times, Saranda was named Onhesmus (Onchesmus). The present name of Saranda comes from the Early Christian monastery Agjoj Saranda (Agioi Saranda), dedicated to the Forty Holy Warriors – Martyrs.

Today, Saranda is one of the most beautiful and most visited tourist place in Albania. Guests, who come to spend the summer vacation in Saranda, enjoy the beautiful sea and sun or the outings to the nearby archaeological site of Butrint, which is listed in the UNESCO cultural heritage.Tourists are also visiting the monastery of Mesopotam, church that was built in 13th century dedicated to St. Nicholas, or visits the world known Natural Phenomenon water spring Blue Eye.

The Albanian coastline is 450 km long and joins the Adriatic with the Ionian Sea. It is full of sandy beaches which attracts countless tourists. Hotel beaches are fully equipped with sun beds, umbrellas, showers, toilets, changing booths, children’s playgrounds … Abounds with restaurants, cafes, bars, discos. The rapid progress and development of the Albanian tourism contributed many hotels and restaurants of world famous brands to be opened in Albania.
